Ashley Newman has spent her career building brands that challenge convention and inspire connection.

From becoming one of Canada's first female founders in the legal cannabis industry and creating the award-winning Queen of Bud, Ashley has spent more than a decade building brands, developing products, advocating for meaningful industry progress, and championing greater opportunities for women in business.

While her work has expanded into luxury retail experiences, homes, fashion, and collaborations with globally recognized brands, including Zippo, creativity, purpose, and connection have remained at the heart of everything she creates.

Ashley Newman has spent her career creating things that bring beauty, meaning, and connection into people's lives.

The Art of Becoming grew from the lessons she learned through change, loss, love, motherhood, creativity, and the courage to begin again. It is the most honest expression of her journey, the perspective it gave her, and the meaning she found along the way.

Symbols of Becoming

If you've followed my work over the years, you've probably noticed that crystals have always been woven into the stories behind my products.

To me, each crystal is a symbol of becoming. Just as it is shaped over time by pressure, change, and the forces of nature, we are shaped by the experiences that define our lives.

Every crystal represents a quality that already exists within us: clarity, courage, love, gratitude, creativity, resilience, and peace. These are not qualities we need to find, but qualities waiting to be awakened through the chapters we live.

For years, these crystals inspired the products I created. The Art of Becoming is where I finally share the philosophy behind them.

Every chapter explores the meaning of a different crystal and the lessons it represents, revealing how even life's most unexpected moments can awaken the wisdom, strength, and beauty that have always lived within us.

Because every chapter has a purpose. Every experience leaves its mark. And who you become because of it is your greatest work of art.
